Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CardMaps mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use CardMaps.
2. Browsing is free; some features require an account
Discovery — the map, shops, shows, and vendors — is free to browse. Creating content or interacting (favorites, messaging, reviews, submissions, applying for a pro profile) requires an account.
3. Subscriptions, free trials, and billing
- Vendor subscription. A vendor profile requires a paid Vendor subscription, currently $13.99 per month plus any applicable tax. Shop profiles and browsing are free. The current price is always shown before you subscribe.
- Free trial. New vendor subscriptions start with a 60-day free trial, one per vendor profile. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts automatically to a paid monthly subscription at the price shown when you started the trial. Vendors who joined during our launch received the same trial without adding a card; to keep a vendor profile live after that trial ends, add a card before it ends, and you won't be charged until then. We'll remind you before your trial ends.
- Payment and seller. Payments are processed by Stripe. For vendor subscriptions, Stripe (through its Link service) acts as the seller of record and handles payment, receipts and sales tax on CardMaps' behalf. Subscriptions are not billed through Apple or Google.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month, and your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period, until you cancel.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in the app (your vendor profile → Manage billing) or through the customer portal linked on our Support page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your profile stays live until then. Deleting the app or your account does not entitle you to a refund for the current period. Deleting your account does cancel any subscription for profiles only you own.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we'll retry it and notify you. Your profile stays live for 10 days, after which it's hidden until payment succeeds.
- When a subscription ends. Your vendor profile is hidden from other users, but its content is kept so you can reactivate it. If a vendor profile remains inactive for 90 days, its custom link (for example cardmaps.app/v/your-name) may be released and assigned to another user. We'll email you before that happens.
- Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Contact support@cardmaps.app about a charge you believe is wrong.
- Price changes. We may change the subscription price with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. User content
You retain ownership of content you post (profiles, reviews, messages, status updates, submissions). You grant CardMaps a license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to post it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not: post false, misleading, unlawful, harassing, or infringing content; impersonate others; spam or scrape the Service; attempt to breach security; or misuse messaging or reviews. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Community submissions and moderation
Shops and shows submitted by users enter a review queue before publication. We may approve, edit, reject, or remove submissions and other content at our discretion to keep the Service accurate and trustworthy.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Listing information is community-sourced and may be incomplete or inaccurate. CardMaps does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or safety of any shop, show, vendor, or transaction discovered through the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardMaps is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for interactions between users, vendors, shops, or promoters.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the Service at any time; continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
